<idAbs>Population Per Hex Grid
About the map: This depiction of population across Puerto Rico is based HUD’s LMI tract level data. The hexagonal grids utilized here provide a standardized method for overlaying multiple hazards each with different spatial representations. Population data was equally distributed across each tract and summed for each hexagonal grid, representing 0.5 sq. miles. Population is symbolized using a quasi-exponential classification scale showing areas of higher population across Puerto Rico. </idAbs>
